Timesheet is stronger for freelancers who capture time on phones and watches or want automatic NFC, Wi-Fi, and location triggers. Harvest is stronger when online invoices, payment reminders, and accounting integrations are the main priority.
Yes. Both can record time offline in their iOS and Android apps and synchronize it after the phone reconnects. Harvest's full invoicing and administration workflow still requires the browser.
Both free plans are for one user. Timesheet Basic allows unlimited projects and includes exports plus mobile automation. Harvest Free is limited to two projects but includes invoicing and expense tracking.
Harvest can view, send, and manage existing invoice drafts from mobile, but its help documentation says new invoices must be created in a web browser. Timesheet generates PDF invoices as part of its Pro workflow.
