How it works
Once tracking is enabled, Activity Tracker records the apps you use in the background and groups your activity into work blocks. Review your day, choose a project, and create a Timesheet task from the time you want to log.

Find time you haven’t logged

Turn recorded activity into tasks
Work blocks group your activity around detected idle periods. Review the times and apps, choose a project, and confirm to create a task.

You control what’s shared
Recorded activity is stored on your Mac. When you create a task, activity is added to Timesheet according to your upload settings. If you enable automatic uploads, activity is also added while your Timesheet timer runs. Choose whether to include window titles and screenshots in Settings. Optional project suggestions run locally. AI-generated descriptions also run on your Mac and require a separate model download.
Before you start
- macOS 10.15 or newer, on Apple Silicon or Intel.
- macOS asks for Screen Recording permission. Without it the tracker still records which apps you use, but window titles stay empty and no screenshots are taken.
- A Timesheet account. You sign in through your browser, and the app never sees your password.
