Timesheet vs QuickBooks Time: frequently asked questions
Straight answers based on the current plans and published product documentation.
Timesheet offers a QuickBooks integration on paid plans, and exports to Excel, CSV, and PDF that your accountant can import. It is not the same as the native payroll pipeline inside QuickBooks Time.
QuickBooks Time, if you already run payroll in QuickBooks. That direct pipeline is its main advantage. Timesheet is built around project and client work, so payroll goes through an export.
Timesheet. It records per-task rates, breaks, pauses, expenses, and notes, and produces invoices from them. QuickBooks Time is oriented towards hours worked for payroll rather than hours billed to a client.
Yes. For scheduling shifts, crew or kiosk clock-in, and pushing approved hours straight into QuickBooks payroll, it is the stronger fit.
Time Data That Is Not Tied to One Ledger
Track a period in Timesheet and check the export gives your accountant everything they need.
