Timesheet publishes a hosted Model Context Protocol server, so Le Chat can start timers, log work, and answer questions about your hours without you leaving the chat.
What you can ask for
- "Start a timer for the website redesign project"
- "How many hours did I track this week, by project?"
- "Log two hours of client calls for yesterday afternoon"
- "Export last month as a PDF"
- "Request vacation for next Friday"
Before you start
- A Timesheet Pro plan or above. See plans and pricing.
- A Le Chat account. Adding a custom connector is an admin task: on the Free, Pro, and Student plans you are the admin of your own account. In a Team or Enterprise workspace, ask your admin.
Connect
- Open Connectors in Le Chat and select Add Connector.
- Open the Custom MCP Connector tab.
- Enter
Timesheetas the connector name and the server URL below. - Select Connect, sign in to Timesheet, and approve access.
https://mcp.timesheet.io
Le Chat asks before it runs a Timesheet tool. To skip the question for tools you trust, open My Connectors, select Timesheet, and turn on Always allow on the Functions tab.
What Le Chat can reach
- Timer: start, stop, pause, resume, status, update
- Tasks: create, update, delete, list, plus notes, expenses, and breaks
- Projects: create, update, delete, list, and details
- Reports and exports: documents, task and expense reports, PDF output, Excel and CSV exports, and saved export templates
- Absences: request, approve, reject, cancel, and list
- Statistics: summaries over any period
Good to know
- Access is granted to your own account only. The server cannot reach other users' private data or change your billing.
- Revoke access at any time from your Timesheet account, or by removing the connector in Le Chat.
- The connection uses OAuth, so Le Chat never sees your Timesheet password.
- Le Chat reads the list of tools when you connect. When Timesheet adds tools, reconnect the connector to get them.
