Tired of doing this by hand?

Timesheet tracks your hours automatically across iOS, Android, and the web, and turns them into invoices, exports, and reports. Free plan, no credit card required.

What this calculator does

Enter when you started work, when you finished, and how long your breaks were for each day of the week. The calculator adds up your daily hours, shows your weekly total in both hours-and-minutes and decimal-hour formats, and estimates your gross pay if you give it an hourly rate. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is sent anywhere.

Who it's for

Anyone who needs to tally hours fast: freelancers preparing an invoice, hourly employees double-checking a paycheck, contractors logging time for a client, and small-business owners who still run payroll on a spreadsheet.

From calculator to automatic tracking

A weekly calculator solves today's timesheet. Timesheet solves it forever: tap to start a timer, or let the app start one automatically when you arrive at a job site, connect to a Wi-Fi network, or scan an NFC tag. Your hours are already there at the end of the week, ready to export as PDF or CSV or send straight to an invoice.

Frequently asked questions

How does the time card calculator work?
Enter the time you started and finished work for each day, plus any unpaid break time in minutes. The calculator adds up your hours for the week, converts them to decimal hours for payroll, and estimates your gross pay if you enter an hourly rate.
Does it handle overnight or graveyard shifts?
Yes. If your end time is earlier than your start time (for example, 22:00 to 06:00), the calculator assumes the shift crossed midnight and adds 24 hours automatically.
Does it calculate overtime?
This calculator gives you total weekly hours so you can apply your own overtime rule (for example, anything above 40 hours per week in the US). For automatic overtime rules per country or state, use the full Timesheet app.
Is my data saved anywhere?
No. Everything happens in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, stored, or shared. Refreshing the page clears your entries.
Can I print or export the result?
You can copy a summary of the week to your clipboard with the "Copy summary" button. To download a PDF or send a formal timesheet to your employer or client, create a free Timesheet account.
How do I convert hours and minutes to decimal hours?
Divide the minutes by 60 and add them to the hours. For example, 7 hours and 45 minutes becomes 7 + 45/60 = 7.75 decimal hours. The calculator shows decimal hours next to your weekly total automatically.
